Forager Provisions x Wendly

When it comes to capturing the essence of outdoor adventures, there’s no better partner than Forager Provisions. Known for their high-quality, nature-inspired products, Forager Provisions curates a collection that resonates deeply with those who cherish their time in the wilderness.

From durable enamelware to stylish camping accessories, their products aren’t just functional—they celebrate the great outdoors. Pulling people in to it.

Our recent collaboration with Forager Provisions was a perfect match. Tasked with bringing their unique products to life through photography, we sought to capture the items themselves and the spirit they embody. Every piece in their collection is designed with the modern adventurer in mind, balancing durability with aesthetic appeal, and this was at the forefront of our creative approach.

The Brief, Earthy Autumn.

Forager Provisions isn’t just about selling products; it’s about enhancing the experience of connecting with nature. The brief for the shoot was to capture this essence and make the visuals feel distinctly autumnal for their Autumn/Winter 2024 collection, even though we’re currently in the midst of August. The challenge was to create imagery that evokes the crisp, earthy tones of autumn—think misty mornings, warm hues, and cosy outdoor settings—so that their products resonate deeply with nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

The Shoot, All In The Location.

To achieve the autumnal look for Forager Provisions’ Autumn/Winter 2024 shoot, we focused on capturing the warm, earthy tones of the season despite being in the middle of August. We primarily shot during the golden hour, when the light is soft and rich, creating warm hues reminiscent of autumn. We carefully selected locations with a crisper feeling, moss-covered rocks, and serene water bodies, avoiding bright blue skies to maintain the autumnal atmosphere. This approach ensured that the products were showcased in a setting that evoked the cosy, reflective moments of the season.

We concentrated on the tactile experience in each shot—the feel of a rough-hewn flask as you sit by a campfire or the warmth of a steaming cup of coffee on a misty morning. These details helped bring Forager Provisions’ products to life, making them more than just items to use but companions on your outdoor journey.

Some On Location Shots :

Location, Norfolk & Yorkshire

For the Forager Provisions shoot, we selected two stunning locations that beautifully reflect the brand’s deep connection to nature and adventure. First, we chose Norfolk’s Dilham Canal, a serene, iconic local spot that made perfect sense given Forager’s roots in Norfolk. The canal’s peaceful waters and lush surroundings provided the ideal backdrop, subtly grounding the products.

Our second location was Marsden Moor, NT, in West Yorkshire. Known for its moody, rugged landscape, Marsden Moor delivers a dramatic atmosphere year-round, perfectly capturing Forager Provisions' adventurous spirit. These locations enhanced the autumnal vibe we aimed for and ensured the products were showcased in real, evocative settings that resonated with outdoor enthusiasts.
