we wanted to make visuals that tell stories and make a brand.
Who Are We? Charlie & Matt, Husband & Wife = Wend*ly.
Wendly is our third child. A amalgamation of all the things we love; the great outdoors, nature, photography & adventure.
Charlie Crowley
Hi, I’m Charlie! When I’m not deep into designing over at ourkindred.co.uk or capturing beautiful moments here at Wendly, you’ll likely find me outdoors, indulging in a bit of campfire cooking; making a steamy pot of daal over the flames or taking a refreshing wild swim. I also take great pride in being the perfect (and definitely not bossy) tent erecting supervisor during camping trips. My absolute favourite place in the UK is the Buttermere Valley—Crummock Water, which is where I love to unwind with some relaxed paddleboarding. These little adventures fuel my creativity and keep me inspired.
Matt Crowley
Hi, I’m Matt, and when I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me outdoors, summiting a hill or paddling on one of the many beautiful lakes, meres, or lochs scattered across the UK. I’m a big fan of road trips, and Glencoe is hands-down my favourite spot—there’s nothing quite like the views along that stretch of road. When it’s time to refuel, you can bet I’m hunting for the best tacos around—Mexican food, especially tacos, is my go-to comfort food. Outside of photography, I also have a passion for landscaping, where I blend my love for design with the beauty of the natural world.
We Eloped In The Scottish Highlands & Documented It all, Ourselves.
As We Stood Behind The Lens On Our Wedding Day, Capturing It All Ourselves, We Discovered The Buzz Of Working Together On Projects.
It was a day filled with love, not just for each other, but for the art of photography that had brought us together in the first place. Armed with our cameras, we navigated the challenges of being both the subjects and the photographers, finding joy in the shared experience of capturing our love story in the most authentic way possible. Every shot was a reflection of our vision, our connection, and the trust we have in each other’s creative instincts.
This experience was more than just a personal project—it was the spark that ignited our passion for collaborating on photographic endeavors. There was something incredibly special about working side by side, blending our individual talents to create something truly meaningful. It was in these moments, behind the camera, that we realised the power of our partnership—not just as a couple, but as a creative team.
